Kentucky is usually pretty friendly and definitely Christian when you get outside of Lexington and Louisville. I love Virginia and West Virginia. The people there seem to be friendly and religious, especially in the Allegheny and Blue Ridge mountains.

GEORGIA Ya'll
WOW Georgia really has it all....... one of the most awesome, warmest, hospitable state in the south. Tennessee is great too, but Georgia has it all, the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains, Lake Lanier in Gainesville, Beaches and the Golden Isles, Cumberland Island where the wild horses run, and roam free and wild.
South Georgia where cotton boomed and an abundance of pecan tree's. Savannah, what I feel is the most beautiful historic city in the south. You know its gorgeous in Georgia when Augusta hosts The Nationals each year.
Georgia was/is home to
Ray Charles
James Brown
Julia Roberts
Bobby Jones
Ty Cobb
Stacey Keach
Trish Yearwood
MLK
Burt Reynolds
Little Richard
Paula Deen
Ted Turner
Gladys knight
Joel Chandler Harris
Hulk Hogan
A new baby panda at the atlanta zoo, and the folks there were real nice when we visited and the aquarium was nice too!
People are just plain nice here. My husband is from England and he can't get over how nice we are here, and even wal mart says have a nice day!
Most of these folks are pretty hospitable...God Rest James Brown!
VISIT GEORGIA, if you can only visit one place, Savannah!

Minnesota back. we've the utmost rankings in guidance, our environment is gorgeous, out of the cities we've very low crime expenses, there is physically powerful employment available and the twin cities grant exciting and subculture if that's what you're into. I whinge a lot approximately living in Mankato, yet once you're 21 or older this is somewhat some exciting. this is a school city with somewhat some bars and pizza parlors, yet we even have exciting little quirky shops and we are a pair of million hour or 2 hours faraway from the cities so this is not that stressful to flow clubbing or figuring out to purchase on the MOA! (mall of united statesa., heck definite we've that! quickly to be the biggest mall interior the international!)

Wow, "state" is a broad term! I've traveled to most (41, I think) states, and I've lived in three. I've found good and bad people everywhere. If I had to pick a favorite place to live, maybe Wyoming or Texas. A word of caution about Texas however, there are great places to live that are literally blocks from places that you don't even want to go, which holds true for most major cities, not just those in Texas.

I live in NC... a lot of rednecks and also a LOT of yankees. too many actually! (dont hate them, just the 4 that I work with in a pretty confined area-they talk too much and way too loud). The south of course is the bible belt so religion is everywhere. You can be out in the boonies and pass tons of churches, when it doesnt seem like there are enough people that live there to go! Most people are friendly, except the northerners! haha j/k

I live in New Hampshire where the school is still permitted to have a Christmas tree and the kids go carolling on school time through our town. The people are very warm and welcoming and aren't afraid to have a conversation with a stranger.

I think that the folks in Texas are really nice. There are some that are religious. The most religious? Probably deep south, or Utah.

As a Canadian who visits frequently, Illinois, Washington and Oregon are friendly.
All states I have visited are too religious as far as I can see.
