I wrote several poems and just want to know how to turn some of them into songs so i can sing them to whomever their entitled to. pls give me some suggestions.

a good way to start is to try and humm a melody. start with only humming. than try and add some of the lyrics to your humm. try multiple variations of your humm.

make sure your sylllabols or consistant and not rushed and held out too long. Good luck. Have fun with it. try in shower for best results..haha

A poem is not the same as a song. A song is usually written along with music, repeating a chorus two or more times. A poem should stand on it's own with the melody in the rhythm of the words. If it's a good poem, putting it to music may cheapen it.

putting music to a poem is called a "tone poem" or "art song" it became a common practice in the romantic era. If you are not a musician then you will need to find someone that is to collaborate with. Usually when writing songs the music is written first then the words are added or tweaked, not so with a tone poem though. It is not impossible, so good luck

give ur poem a beat or rhythm..add music n sounds..den start singin instead of speakin da words.
