like .. not show people that are online or anything like that?

I used MSN Messenger with no problem on dial-up. I even used the chatrooms.

nope nothing like that it would be slower but defintely would show up Check out.... where as if you were opting for a new yahoo mail beta or gmail.... it would take soem time to load and this might not even show the contents because the page is so heavily designed.... it won't bring up in dial up but not for msn.... dial up shudn't be an issue... try uninstalling and re-installing msn.........

dial up is slow, but there shouldn't be any problem for msn msgr if you donnot use the video conferencing function which need a higher speed of connection. If you really having problem wiht msn msgr like you said, it should be software problem.
