Because they were the orginal english people and they got kicked out by everyone else. You will have to read history books to see what I mean. and yes they obnoxious.

The Welsh are not obnoxious. No more than any other race are.
You know this question is a mischievous piece of sillyness so forget it.
I have been visiting Wales for 30 years and I am a life long fan of Welsh people. Friendly, honest, generous and caring.
Why are some people on here so obnoxious?

The Welsh are not obnoxious to me. I'm a Yorkshireman by birth and I've lived in Wales for the last 10 years. I love it here and the people are always warm and friendly to me.

If *I* had to say all the Welsh place names on a regular basis like they do, I'd probably be grouchy, too. Some of those words sound positively painful to try and say!

Because the English are always pissing them off. LOL I've lived in Wales for three years now and I know that the one sure way of getting a rise out of them is to mention the English. Most ot the time they're so agreeable I have to get them annoyed for the sake of a lively convo.

what? I had an English teacher who was Welsh and he was the sweetest old guy. really relaxed always smiling and kind. well, that's the only Welsh I ever knew and I liked him.

you'd be pissed off if it rained all day and all you had worth shagging was sheep!
(England wasn't actually formed untill 10th century, the welsh originate from the ancient britons who where forced into the extremities of the british isles, mainly in cornwell and wales, by the invading forces romans saxons etc)
