Ear Piercing Questions??

Question

i'm a 13 year old girl. Does getting your ear pierced hurt more than braces or shots? Does it hurt at all? How does the procedure work? Any answers would help.

well you shoudl get them done professionally at a body piercing/tattooo shop and not at the mall.

at the they use piercign gunsw hich cant be sterilized but the guns have an earring places through them and they pull the trigger the and jjewelry is driven through the ear. its not good to get pierced byt he gun see why...

at the shop they use a special hollow needle the environmetn all around is very sterile much like a dentists office unliek at the mall there are people allover and someone could sneeze ont he jewelry or some sort.

but the piercer is patient with you. they ar always very nice no matter how intimidation they look with all the piercings at tatoos. they will mark your ears and use a clamp to hold you ear they will place a cork behind your ear to catch the needle and then they will insert the jewelry. this is a very quick process and trust me! its just a pinch! wiht a little bit of burning! and im terrified of needles and i have 8 piercings. the peopel at the pierce shopsa re always very nice. have you parents or legal gaurdian take a look at this web page

but i have had braces. those hurt alot.. lol and shots im terrified of injections... but a piercing isnt even half as bad. its easy. it will be sore and swollen the first week. but do the afterccare and your piercings should be fine! trust me! =)



you dont need to numb it it wont do anything. just pinch your ear lobe ith your nails and thts what it will feel liek only foir a brienf second or 2

Of course it hurts, they punch a piece of metal through your ear. It doesn't hurt the same way as braces or shots either. It feels like a pinch then it feels very hot. It gets a little swollen and the pain is pretty much over in about 20min if you don't bump it.

Keep it very clean and try not to sleep on the side of your head for a few nights.

To tell you the honest truth it does not hurt at all. It feels just a like a little bee sting.. It does not hurt more than getting braces or shots. It really does not even hurt at all. What they do is they wipe your ear with a acohol swab and then you pick the ear ring you want in your ear and then they put it in the ear piercer and they prick you in the ear to put the ear ring in and they will give you some saline solution to clean your holes so they do not get infected and you are all set

well they are to completly different kinds of pain.. braces( which i have) are long term pain, unlike getting your ears pierced (which i also have) which is fast and just feels like a needle going through ur ears, which yes i know that is what it is. But what i would reccomend is that you should go with one of your friends that hasnt got their ears pierced.. which is what I did... it helps you focus on something else. if that cant happen then go with ur mom or someone that you really trust or just like. the most nervewracking part of the whole experence is when they are putting the black dots on your ears and keep looking back and forth and when they are getting everything ready! at least thats what i thought was and what my bestest friend thought as well. dont worry and ti will be fine. ohh yeah and dont touch them the first i dont know 5-10 minutes becuase they are still pretty sore and thats when they are burning., but the first thing that i wanted to do is touch them but it hurt SOO bad!!!! ok well dont worry and have fun!!!!

It doesn't hurt too much, you will feel a little pinch and then your ear gets hot. Make sure to keep your new piercing clean and turn them a lot and you wont have any problems at all. I had my kids ears pierced when they were very,very young and they didn't even cry or have problems. My ears are pierced too and I don't remember pain at all.

Well, your thirteen so getting a piercing now will hurt less than when you were a baby because your skin her not as soft.It does hurt more than getting braces or a shot but really, it depends on the people you have to Peirce you, or give a shot to you, or your orthodontist.

numb them 1st n it shouldn't hurt 2 much, but everyone is different. I didn't numb them and it hurt a lot! But my little sister did, and it barely hurt her at all! Also, regardless of what the person who pierces your ears tells you, do NOT change them for the 1st 4 weeks, or wear silver for the 1st 6months-1 yr or wear dangles for the 1st 6 months. And remember to clean them with alcohol twice daily, and turn them as often as possible.

okay i've had braces shots and my ears pirced 3 times and i was 10 when i first got them pierced

okay have u gotten stung by a bee before it doesn't hurt as bad as that i promise its like a little bite and then its done

just make sure you don't let them get infected cause then they will hurt

okay, getting your ears pierced doesn't really hurt at all. it hurts inly a little for about 5 minutes. when i got them it was quick so it was not li8ke getting braces. i'd say it is better than getting shots. hope this helps!

depends on your pain threshold, the intial pain for me is more heat than ache
however infection hurts so make sure you go to a professional (licenced) place and take care of them by washing hands etc. (ask them about aftercare),

you pick the earrings and sit in a designated place
