Yes. It means all different things. Depending on how far along you are. The most common reasons are just that you are expanding, and the ligaments are stretching and that hurts a little. In the very early stages of pregnancy, it is common to have some 'period like' pains. Now, if they are excruciating pains that you cannot deal with, you should see a doc right away, for it could mean something serious. Yeah, it really sucks the first couple weeks. I had horrible pains when i first got pregnant they were so bad i was taking hot showers like 3 times day to help the cramping pains

It's possible, but there are many, many reasons why you may have pains in your stomach; it doesn't always mean pregnancy. However, it could mean something is going wrong with the pregnancy, so it's best that you see your doctor to be sure.
