Do you think it is so?

I read and hear a lot about the so called poor in the USA. I really think people there do not understand what poor is. When there is nothing to eat for days at a time and no shelter when it rains then you might say poor.
I know that if a person has reasonable knoledge he or she can accomplish a lot and there is no reason to stay poor in the USA. I came from very poor parents and have done well and still am. I have been to many lands and seen many things and those saying they are poor in the USA are rich compared to many peoples.

Canadians never seem to know how to answer questions. They just want points.

I agree with you . I to came from a poor family and I have done ok for myself too. A lot of ppl chose tosay they were brought up that way and so figure they will always be and do nothing to change that. I know and am living proof that you can change it.

Well you're right -- it was in the USA for the first time in history that poor people became fat, and indeed those living in poverty are much more likely to be overweight than rich people. There is seldom an excuse for being poor in the US: the poor have the opportunity to rise above it. It's their bad habits that make them poor.
