i'm a 13 year old girl. Does getting your ear pierced hurt more than braces or shots? Does it hurt at all? How does the procedure work? Any answers would help.

im 14 .i got mine done yesterday, at claires, and they use a gun and you can have 1 person on each ear use a piercing gun at the same time and do it, and i cant handle like any pain, so i was really nervous so i thought it was gunna hurt, but they did it so fast it felt like a pinch, and right after that i was like dude thats so cool i want another one so i got another piercing right above that. So yeah it is just a tiny pinch, if i can handle it im sure u can.

i got my 2ND hole pierced when i was 13. it hurt alittle when it actually went through. i think getting stung by a bee or wasp is worse. the 2ND hole hurts more. so if u r getting ur first one done it is better than the 2ND. the lady that done my 2ND hole got my right ear earring caught up in the little piercer and it hurt bad. a shot is longgg, the piercing is short sooo i would think the shot would be worse.
first the lady lets u pick out what earrings u want.( make sure u ask 4 the price cuz the lady did not tell me the price until the earrings where in my ears and the earrings were $40 cuz they were white gold. my mom was MAD!)
then she cleans your ears.
then she marks with a marker where she is gonna pierce them at . she gives u a mirror and shows u and asks if it is good.
then she cleans the earrings.
then she put an earring in a thing that looks like a hot glue gun and then she counts to 3 and presses the button and then does the other ear and your ears r pierced. ha ha hoped that helped u . bye and good luck. =D

Firstly you should have a professional pierce your ear lobes, it is not painful you will feel a little sting when the piercing gun shoots the earring into your lobe very minor discomfort, you will need to purchase from the piercer an ointment or cream to be used on the ear to aid in the healing process some people have discomfort after the piercing but most are just fine. I think that you would be okay if it is done by a professional it compares to half a shot no biggie really.

When I had my ears done the piercer made a dot on my ear where the earring was going.. Then she took her piercing gun and voila.. The earring was in.. Don't worry about the pain if u even feel any because it's done so fast that u will wonder at the end why u were even worried in the first place..... =)

It doesnt hurt as bad as braces or shots. You just feel like some one is pinching you for a couple of seconds. Do not worry it is not as bad as it seems. they clean your ears, make sure they look even and pierce them. It is really fast.

It depends on what part of the ear, if you are getting the lower ear pierce, it doesn't hard very bad. It feels like a pinch not as bad as a shot. It will be okay!!!
