My ex-husband sends me nasty e-mails about how I am stupid, selfish, stubborn and have caused pain and destruction to him and his family.

Then, he sends me a e-card for Christmas about us getting back together to finish the journey that we started together. He also leaves me voicemails to call him to discuss things. He wants me to move with him to another state where he has accepted a new job. I live in different state than he does now.

I don't know how to react to this hot and cold treatment. Its confusing.

He says that I need to change my attitude and that any man that I married would ask me the same things that he is asking. Then, he says that I should be grateful that I am getting a second chance to put my family back together.

How can I forget the mean, hurtful e-mails though?

Sounds to me like he has some problems and needs a shrink. The nasty emails, if you get tired of it. Make copies and take it to the cops, they will stop it for you. He is not hot and cold, he is just playing with your mind, cause he loves keeping you confused. i got a hunch that he was also controlling and abusive also.

I believe this is a too serious question to bring onto the Yahoo! Answers community to bring to a solution. Go see a counseler or psycologist.

to me it sounds like h ereally wants u back but hes trying to hurt your feelings for not being with him, i usually tend to lash out and say mean things that i never really mean, i just want to hurt someone like they hurt me.
as for the emails, email him and tell him that if he cant talk to u in a civil courteous manner , u will ignore him. whenever he is being nasty end the conversation.change ur number if u have to to show him ure serious. if he acts civil, talk to him, it couldnt hurt, but u have to stick with it. Good Luck

Don't give in to him,he's not worth it.I was in the same situation, and I was dumb enough to go back ,only to the same old stuff as before. He doesn't respect you because he calls you names.
