I have made a few bucks selling clutter from around my home. It was either I sell the stuff without care of profit or to toss the stuff into a dumpster. Some things sold, some things didn't. Some items had lots of bids, others sold for the starting prices. There is no science to it. It's a matter of having the right product at the right price at the right time and having a buyer wanting the right product at the right price at the right time. It may not be what you want to hear but it's the reality of selling on Ebay, selling in a store front, selling on a street corner, or donating goods to a homeless shelter for the tax write offs. Try it. You don't have to go 100% in either direction. Try a few items on buy it now and try a few on auction. Try a few items in lots and try a few items as seperates. Set some at 99 cents and some at $9.99. You can always relist. You can take a 30 day free trial on an Ebay store and see if that works for you. You can pass out flyers to Moms with your Ebay ID or ask stores to hang up the flyers for their customers with a few sample items. I would encourage you to think about a legitimate business... vendor license, business name, tax IDs, etc. WHY??? Because you can write off costs of doing business... portion of home office space, office supplies, ebay auction fees, printer cartridges, computer depreciation, workshops and books and business classes, attorney fees, accountant fees, software, etc. Even if your business doesn't rake in the kind of money you want, why pay the fees out of your pocket? It only costs around $80 to set up a business in your county. Your library will have FREE books for business start ups. You can get more help from SCORE and SBA (see links below). You don't need a whole bunch of start up capital but you should be able to keep records of income and expenses.

I don't sell baby clothes but do make money. My buddy makes great money selling sports collectibles (ie. baseball cards, signed photos etc.) He starts all bids at .99 because the demand will bid the price up. You can always put a reserve price in if you don't want to sell it below a certain price, but sometimes the allure of a .99 item and then the multiple bids under the item makes the item sell better. If you sell alot then opening a store will save you alot in listing fees and you can put some at fixed price and some at auction. Good luck!

They do make money I bought a new plasma TV from a store and sold it on ebay for more money but ebay take $3.80 in fee. It is always your mind if you want to start the bid from 0.99 you can always put a resverve so if some one bids 5.00 and you wanted the item to sell and 8.00 thats a resverve!

I've heard that there is a lot of money to be made at eBay. That depends on what you have to sell and the condition it's in. Honesty will breed repeat customers.

Ebay charges you a fee, plus if you want to use PayPal to get pay (recommended) they charge you extra. What takes the most time is to write the description. You need to write an accurate and efficient one in order for your item to sell high.

Keep this one quiet OK?
This video LINK right here, is
causing a MAJOR stur amongst the
’make money’ community…
Whether it’s $3,000 or $50,000
a month you want…
This system (and the shockingly
young guy in the video) has helped
people achieve both.
And he’s not even charging anything
for it!
That’s right. It’s on the house.

E-bay will not make anyone rich, other than E-
Bay. One woman made about $20,000, but her costs for goods sold was $10,000
I would donate the clothes to Goodwill and write them off my income tax. That is what we do with our son's clothes and toys as he gets older.
