DUI penalties are a matter determined by each state. In New Jersey she'd be losing her license for at least 2 years, going to a DUI class, paying extra on her car insurance for at least three years and that's beside the possibility of going to jail

Im not sure what state that you live in but where I live, she would be put in Jail for 3 days until she goes to court, then they may give her more jail time, depends on where you live, also you might suggest that she goes and gets some help like from AA, and really I do not mean that sarcastically, just been through all this with an ex. Once she goes through the court, she might be able to petition for a special driving permit only to and from work, good luck.

God, with any luck she'll be ordered into jail or rehab for at least a year so the rest of us can drive home with our kids in the car and make it there alive!!!

The good news is her car insurance just went to about $700 a month! Maybe that will keep her drunken *** out from behind the wheel.

She didn't tell you she has multiple DUI's, what else is she not telling you? Do you realize she has a drinking problem? She needs to serve the time and you need to let her stay in jail, or what ever happens on the third strike.

It depends on the state you live in, but I sure hope she gets the minimal rehab order..jail time MIGHT help her, although for some alcoholics it doesn't change anything...she has a major problem, anyone who allows her to drive after drinking should spend time right along with her...friends dont let friends drive drunk. She could kill or maim someone by her actions.
..I'm VERY anti drunk driving..know someone killed by a drunk driver-

Hopefully she will be ordered by the court to go to rehab, and if not jail, before she kills an innocent victim.

If your "girl" is your daughter, do her a favor, and get her professional help now.
