Read a book in bed,watch Discovery or the History channel.That puts me to sleep right away.

Melatonin is a good over the counter, natural sleep aid. It should help you sleep deeper. Babies sleep well because their bodies produce a lot of melatonin. Your body stops producing as much as you grow older.

If your take a quick 15 min shower before you go to bed and read a book, you will get to sleep quicker.

here are a few things that i have tried:
--burn incense
--drink chamomile tea
--drink "sleepy time" tea
--have a sinus pillow that i put over my eyes
--playwhite noise" to block out the noises from outside of my head
--this is wierd... if i cannot sleep with my head at the foot of the bed, i just turn upside down and try to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed... it usually works... and for bonus points, it confuses the other person...."why are you sleeping upside down?"... "I'm not upside down, you are"....
--melatonin,but you have to kind of build it up in your system... it takes about a week, but then you can schedule sleep time... and go right to sleep
--benadryl.. my doctor told me to take two at night time, it knocks me out like a light... if i can stop my brain from working overitme in 30 minutes... if i can't, then i don't sleep... it winds me up...(had to add that little disclaimer to make sure you knew,,, just in case it happens to you).

Drink a bunch of Nyquill im sure you will fall asleep fast.

wrap the covers around you, head on a comfy pillow, lay on your back with your arms out and legs comfortable... close your eyes and count to 4... inhale to the count of 4, exhale to the count of 4, slowly... don't think about anything, just concentrate on counting & breathing... if your mind wanders imagine the numbers on a blackboard

Aroma Therapy oils, For relaxing use: Peppermint, or Jasmine. You can put one of them on a cotton ball and put it under your pillow or use a aroma defusser. Good Luck!
