To me I find it unnecessary thing to say.. To me there's no need to swear.. It can be down grading to some people.. Sometimes hurtful and it could make that person hard to be around with..
I think it make a person less of what he/she trying to be.. Even though, people do have a right to what they say, Freedom of Speech.. But, if it's in someones home, they have also have the right not to have that kind of languish around them.. They may find it offensive to hear..
Not everyone one wants to hear it.. Even though it's in movies and such.. Some people don't like it from movies, sometimes that can't be helped.. It's in the movie, I didn't put it there.. Can't tell the Actors and Actresses not to say bad names or cuss words in their movies, they probably laugh their heads off at you..
But, if Mom and Dad says not to say those words in their house, I probably give them that respect.. And you should too, your living with them..
Some just curse, use foul language because they don't know any better.. It could be that they were brought up with it..

That is a very good question. I only wish I could give you a good answer. The truth is I do not know. I swear all of the time. I mean I say the really bad words. In fact I can swear in several different languages. My parents did not raise me to use such language. Yet I will let the potty words fly even in the most mundane of conversations. And when I get excited or animated about something I really let lose. If I get angry look out, I say things that would make the devil blush. Why? I haven't a clue. My shrink says it's because of my experiences in war. That I still have unresolved issues. But that seems too simplistic. Maybe I'm just a bad person with a very foul mouth. The more I try to control it the worse it gets. And my meds seem to make it even worse. I am scared to death I will let lose unintentionally in Church or some other equally inappropriate place. Oh well, what the f.u.c.k. That's just the way I am I guess.

Much of that kind of vocabulary is a habit that people have. However, I think foul language has its place and there are times when people don't understand anything but curse words. In most professional environments, people consider it inappropriate. Usually one can find more professional and mature ways to communicate.

The simple answer is that they just don't know any better. Maybe they were brought up that way. Maybe they don't have much of a vocabulary, but whatever the reason, these people don't seem to realize that they are embarrassing themselves.
