You would need to find what newspaper published her obituary then go the local library in the area where that newspaper is published and search through the newspapers around that date.

The library usually has a machine called microfilm. It is easy to use and the librarian will help you to find exactly what you are looking for. My mother did this when her brother was killed in the 60's. Its a great device.

It would have to be in the local papers of the town in which the obit was published. Then you would have to look up the archival records for that paper.
