When a race or a people are demonized it is always easier to hate them and be willing to destroy them. This way they are not human beings. It is a simple eradication of vermin.

Hon, ya can't be "racist against people from the Middle East" unless they happen to be Black or Asian and you're a White guy. You can be bigoted or prejudiced, but not racist. Racism is bigotry toward those of other races and last I heard, "people from the Middle East" aren't other races, though it WOULD include Israelis, but I'm sure that was just a mistake.

As for Saddam, I'd want him punished even if he were purple with pink polka dots. Neither racism or bigotry plays a part.

Last I checked, mass murderer wasn't a race. Arab isn't a race either. Since many of those he butchered were citizens of his country, how could this be racism? Since it was an Iraqi court that convicted him, how can this be racism?
I don't think anybody needs any help at all when it comes to hating Saddam.

When ever I hear or see anyone ranting about racism in this context, I automatically deduct 50 IQ points from their estimate. Maybe the death of a monster is just a good thing.

Saddam, Hitler, Tookie, they are all trash and there are many more of different races and nationalities.

If a tree falls in the forest, does it scream? Cheering the death of any person may be of ill taste but to parlay that into racism is reaching a little bit do you think.

Racism isn't somehting that is considered "hard" or "easy" it just is. That is not a good way to ask whatever it is you are trying to ask. People in Iraq are cheering the sentence, So what's your point?

I don't like Saddam since he was a mass murderer. I like arabic people as long as they are not murders, rapists, forcing people to adopt their manmade religion or trying to kil other people===more or less like any other race.

The man murdered millions of his own citizens. It's racist to be against hanging him.
