I know it makes most people angry when groups of guests cut in front of them at a theme park, and rightfully so. If you have to wait in line, so should everybody else. However, you ought to consider all apsects first. I worked at a famous Orlando, Florida theme park for four months, and regrettably had to settle quite a few heated disputes among guests. Most of the time however, there was no necessity for such dispute, in the case of two family members running behind by being in the bathroom, or a lost straggling few catching up to the rest. Nowadays, parks are getting away from this problem by putting the line indoors, and through various rooms, making line jumping impossible. The only was a good-sized group of people could cut a decent amount of line is by pushing their way through the queue line itself, of which they will undoubtedly be stopped by other guests.
To come to a point, the ride I operated on was aiming at seating approximately seventy guests per minute. If at one point during your wait, three children duck under a railing to join their mom and dad, before you get mad, consider the fact that their only delaying you by 3/70ths of a minute, or about 2.6 seconds. So just shrug it off and let everyone have a pleasant day at the parks. :)

Eh. *shrug*
I do agree with you that the polite thing to do would be to wait until the whole group is together to then join the line. BUT, it does happen and I honestly don't much mind it IF the people are apologetic about it and not rude or silent about it. That's when it bothers me...when they act like jerks or when they won't even offer an "Oops...I'm so sorry!". If it's just a few people rejoining, big deal. If it's like 10+ people cutting and they're rude about it, then I definitely say something to them about it.

Oh when I am at an amusement park polite never seems to figure into the factor. When people do things like that I will say something. I am a little outspoken but I get my point across. Actually once more people behind us see what has happened they will say something too. Actually you can point it out to the ride attendants sometimes they will make them go to the end doesn't happen alot but does happen.

yes everyone hates it but i love it when it happens to the people right behind me.
last labor day i went to Canada's wonderland for a school field trip. while my group was in line for the Italian job roller coaster 12 people cut off the family of 4 right behind my group it was so funny. The family got security and security didn't do anything so the giant group got to ride before that family. It was so funny.

Do you know the old saying of "treat others how you want to be treated".
Well I'm an 11 year old girl and i love going on rides, especially the roller coasters and so does my family, I and my family absolutely hate it when that happens. So what we do is when they are not paying attention i cut in front of them still with my parents where we were then I say:
"Oh hey mom and dad i thought you said you were going on the _____?"
Then they come up with an excuse and come up in front with me.
This makes the people pretty mad, but hey, me and my family got our spot back.

Actually, it doesn't really bother me too much if it happens once, but when we used to go to Astroworld here in Houston, there always seems to be one giant family that cuts in all the lines...and it was like they were following us around and cutting in front of us on every ride...Not sure how they did that but my wife is pretty aggressive and she let's them have it.

Actually I love it when ever anyone cuts in front of me just like everyone else does.
Have your kid wait in one grocery line while you wait in another one and which ever is quicker just move there.
Unfortunatly some people just have no sense of right and wrong, then they teach their childeren it is OK to cheat as well (by doing it) and soon everone will cheat.

I've had that problem. And with my luck, its always this huge family of 10+ people. Last time i had that problem, I told the people to please go to the back and someone my age spit in my face. Lol....after a few mins, he was lying on the ground. Of course I spit in his face also. Thats just something that MUST be avenged lol.
