I don't know what they do in SA anymore, but here in Aus, lost of South Africans from the South African club get together and hê a lekker boere makietie !!!! We sokkie, eat biltong and drink Castles until the early hours of the morning !!! Have a very Happy New Year !!! The craziest thing - falling asleep 10 minutes before 12 one year!!!!!!!

The craziest thing that happens on new years eve is the residents of Hillbrow throw house appliances out of their windows at Police and Medics trying to help other people! what I mean by House hols appliances is washing machinse, fridges, beds etc etc...
The craziest thing I've done on new years is being one of those cops in Hillbrow!!!!! last year was crazy this year wasnt too bad;) its good target practice shooting shotguns at people in their high up buildings trying to kill you hehe;) the rush is AWESOME:)

In my dorp, we have the beach, and something that goes hand in hand with the beach is New Years Beach Parties!!!!!!! It usually ends up in Skinny Dipping and streeking down the street!!!!! South Africans, like their doepa and punch so...... wel you know!!!! We like to sing when we are a bit gekuier, it sounds horrible........ but we enjoy it!!!!! One thing, a New Years Party isn't a Party without our good old South African Braai!!!! MMM lekker!!!!

We usually stand outside our yard and watch all the crackers. The funny thing is New years day never arrives at the same time for everybody.
Each year our neighbour(5 houses away) gets his new year 10 minutes too early. He usually spoils all the fun because then everyone starts yelling "happy new year."
I love the Kaapse Klopse its already a tradition to watch them on new year's. I think it seems crazy(and probably is) but I love watching the parade.

putting off a fire cracker and then running away because you know that some grumpy old man has threatened to call the police for you if you dont stop!!!!
another one would be getting drunk out of your mind and then starting fights with other drunk people!!!!
