My son is 3 months old and he sleeps so much right now. Is this normal? He slept from about midnight last night until seven this morning, woke only to eat and then fell back asleep until noon today. He fell back asleep until at one, woke back up at one thirty, and then fell back asleep for a couple of hours. It's been like this for several days now. I think it started when the doctor told us to put ceral in his formula to combat reflux. My husband says that he is just growing and to let him sleep. I know this seems like a crazy worry, espescially since he was colicky, and that I should be glad he's sleeping at all... I'm just curious if this is normal.

My little man was quite the sleeper - moreso right before a big growth spurt! How's your 3 month old been growing so far? It might just be that he's going to sprout! :) Your husband might just be right (as funny as that sounds) - 3 months is such a fun age, my advise - take some really cute sleeping pictures - might be the only time you can dress him anyway you'd like & snap away!!! :)

He could be hitting his 3 mos growth spurt.

If he is still sleeping this much after about 4 days I might get concerned. Maybe he is having problems digesting the cereal so he "shuts down" for a while to do so? Has he had any signs of digestive problems?

As long as he is waking up and eating it's ok. My newborn daughter slept through the night at one week and the doctor said no you got to wake her up to feed her. So just make sure he gets fed!!

doensn't sound normal but gee i wish i had your problem!
probably best to let it slide for a few days (as you've already done) but then after that it's probably worth checking with a doctor after all could be serious even if no other symptoms are presenting.

As long as he is eating and gaining weight and having normal diapers I wouldn't worry and count your blessings ;)

That is all babys do, sleep, eat, and soil themselves. If you think it's abnormal, ask your ped for advice.

You are very lucky and if he does it, it's normal for him.
