Black shoes go well with anything, but you didn't tell me what color your socks are so it's hard for me to decide about the brown shoes. Brown shoes only if that's all you have....

Sounds good. All neutrals, but not monochromatic.
Green tends to look really good with brown, in my opinion.
The only time I'd say not to wear the brown shoes is with a black suit or all all-black outfit. Otherwise, go for it!
I will add, if you wear a belt, go with brown. Your shoes don't HAVE to match anything, but most people still like to see belts and shoes match.

it sounds like you're okay just as you're dressed. I preffer brown shoes over black because I think you look more alive and less serious. Your clothes doesn't have to match anymore. That's really cool... saves you lots of trouble in the morning. And if it's cold where you're at, I would also wear a nice chunky scarf, maybe grey or brown.

I think there is too much "goin' on" with this outfit, but that is just me.
I believe that you shoes should go with something with the rest of your outfit.
Skip the brown shoes. Black would be better. I think substituting a BLACK shirt for the grey one would be better as well.
if you are stuck with the brown shoes, maybe substitute the grey shirt with a TAN one?

Since you are wearing grey, and grey is a lighter form of black, I would switch to black shoes. However, if you wear an earth tone (like brown, orange or tan) brown shoes would work.
When in doubt, wear black shoes.
...and NEVER wear white socks with brown shoes.

Well they match if ur going for the american eagle/ old navy look. I dont really like the grey w/green. The brown matches. It sounds kinda plain to me. You should try some Nike's with an array of colors - even w/green.

I also have just bought a hunter green coat. Dark green is a personal favorite. I wear jeans almost everyday, and wear gray too. I personally would wear black shoes, but brown also work too. I'm not a fashion expert. Fashion 911 would probably scream at us, but who cares. If we feel comfortable, I think that is what is important. Enjoy your coat.

hard to tell without seeing. the subtle shades make quite a difference! same with teh brown shoes. there is no rule against brown shoes, but without seeing them, i am hesitant to pass judgement
