There has been some kind of abnormal activity somewhere near your home such as a sinkhole fell in or someone else had a new well drilled and it tapped into your same waterflow. It will clear up . One other thing is maybe your pitless adapter or a fitting near it has sprung a leak and is stirring up the well. open up your well cap and listen for spraying water. The best thing to do is to hook up a hose to your pressure tank or to the closest faucet and run the well off till it clears. We sometimes lift the well pump out of the pitless adapter and pump it straight over the top of the well casing. I don't want to scare you but there has been times we had to put a liner in a well that turned dirty and wouldn't clear up. I hope you don't have that issue....Good Luck

Dirt will filter out, have a filtration system put in. If it is only 4 years old, not likely to have a hole in the casing, call your drilling company or drop in and ask them. You didn't mention if this is a new situation. If it has not always been this way you have something serious going on and filters might not solve it. I would contact a well driller.

TO EVALUATE THIS EVEN FURTHER, IS THERE A QUARRY ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR PLACE? HAVE THEY RECENTLY BLASTED?? THIS WILL DISTURB YOUR WATER AND MAKE IT DIRTY.AS THE OTHER DRILLER STATED HOOK A HOSE TO THE BIB BY PRESSURE TANK AND LET IT RUN.I AGREE WITH THE STATEMENT OF POSSIBLE LEAK AT THE PITLESS ADAPTER THAT WOULD ALLOW SEDIMENT IN. YOUR BEST OPTION IS TO CALL A WELL DRILLER AND LOOK FOR THE PROBLEM.PLUMBERS ARE STUPID.VERY FEW KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WELLS.CALL A DRILLER.THEY HAVE CAMERAS AND SUCH TO SEND DOWN WELLS TO LOOK FOR PROBLEMS.

You must have the well inspected and the water tested, this is too important to leave to chance.
