I remember reading it at 10 years old and I was wondering what it was but I can't find anything. Here's what I remember:
-the main character's name was "Hero" I think...
- it was probably a "Christian book"
- it was a fantasy or allegory I believe also.
and from deduction:
- it would be written for elementary school age children
- and written before 1997.
If you know what book I'm talking about then could you tell me the title? Thanks a lot!

no, that's a good shot though. i know the pilgrim's progress story, and it wasn't anything like that. thanks for the try anyway!

Could it possibly be a kid's version of Pilgrim's Progress? It's an allegory with slightly odd character names that are more figurative and abstract than practical. Where they on a journey or quest of some sort?
