Also how can someone just stop loving someone and start loving another person they just met?

Maybe you never get over loving someone. My father in law lost his wife almost 2 years ago and he has yet to make any progress.
As for how someone can just stop loving someone else and start loving yet another person......He/she probably, slowly, begin to fall out of love and over time has realized the relationship was not what it use to be or not what he/she wanted anymore. AS for instantly falling in love with someone else, that rarely happens and is usually just lust or excitement from being in a new relationship with someone different.

Some may never "get over" someone they have loved for 15 years or longer. Real love doesn't come and go like that. If that person has totally rejected you, then you must go on one day at a time. Losses get easier with time. I know. I lost a son in a car wreck 25 years ago. I'll never get to that place where I don't feel the loss, but it is easier to live with as time goes by.
As for someone who stops loving one to turn around and love another, it's not love. It's called lust and selfishness.
May you receive the comfort and healing you need without this fickle person, who apparently doesn't know what true love really is. God Bless!!!

It takes a lot of time and healing. They are never "fully" over them. But after the years go by the lust and excitement goes away and they are left with respect or unconditional love. This can happen with divorced parents sometimes...

maybe you think they just met someone and im sorry to say but you can't just get over someone after 15 years og loving them you just cant

You can't it is impossible, you have to mourn the one that is gone, then go through healing then once you found yourself then you will be able to move on.
