movie released this year. something about a woman who i think is a journalist, and she uncovers a satanic little girl that lives in the woods who they believe is responsible for all sorts of mayhem. can you help with the name of the movie???

The name of the movie is the reaping and it stars hilary swank but it does not come out until next year. The is also the movie called the wicker man about a little girl but I dont think that is the one you are talking about.

This plot sounds slightly similar to the plot of Ringu (The Ring). Or maybe Silent Hill. Both of those movies (although not released this year) had a spooky little girl character.
