My twins loves washrags, wet clean washclothes, they would chew them forever. They also liked chewing on their blankies....they never really took teethers to well. I also just used baby oral jel to help with pain and to comfort them and hylands teething tablets. Overall they did pretty well with the washrags. You could try that. Good luck.

Use teething tablets to numb his gums and try going to the store and finding what is called a fresh fruit feeder it looks like a mesh bag on a handle I can't remember who makes it but put a piece of banana in it and freeze it. My son had four teeth by three months and that was his favorite teether because it is not just that teething hurts it also makes the gums itch and they mesh will help with that.

Its hard to really force a baby to take a teething toy, my daughter hated them, she never took a pacifier or anything. The only thing that helped her during teething was humphrey's. They are a tiny little ball, you can get them prescribed from your doctor, and buy the OTC in some states. Buyt they dissolve like right away and they help with the pain. Since they dissolve so fast, the baby doesn't evenm have time to realize that something is in his or her mouth.
Teething is tough, but don't get discouraged. If your baby doesn't seem to be bothere by it, then you shouldn't be either! Good luck

Well, to make the pain go away, my sister used Orajel on her baby. It numbs the baby's teeth so they don't feel any pain.

Also, try observing the types of toys he usually plays with. When he's in the middle of playing with one, trade the toy for a teether..try getting the small kinds that don't have weird shapes. The best ones for a three month old are probably those rings with the small gelly circles.

herbal teething drops...my son started teething early too... around 3 months. One night while at a church service I had spend almost an hour with my son who was in real pain with his new "pearl whites" a friend offered me a bottle of teething drops within 20 minutes he was back to him "old" self again. they are worth a try my son also liked crushed ice wrapped tightly in a washcloth so he couldn't choke on it...

First of all, is he fussy, crying, etc? if not he's fine and it's not bothering him so don't worry about it. if he is, try this, (my son loved it) - gerber makes a gum cleaner for babies, like toothpaste only you squirt it on a finger thingy (like they use at banks to count money), and then you let him chew on it. it works really well. the finger thing comes with the cleaner. good luck!!

I have tried everything also and finally bought my son a teething pacifer made by Playtex. It works great. Good luck to you.

Small stuffed toys wet and frozen.

Use breastmilk/formula instead of water.

Rub his gums with diluted clove essential oil, this is natural and the key ingredient in many temporary fillings.

Try Gripe Water. You can get it at health food stores. It seems to fix everything with my daughter!

If he is crying alot b/c of the pain give him motrin for it. Gerber also makes teething cookies that are rough and will help alleviate it also.
