I think it would be very arrogant of us to believe that life could not exist in an intelligent form somewhere out there. So I don't disbelieve, but I have never seen one.

Sure, some of my best friends are aliens--they come from Germany, several Asian countries, and even Africa. I don't know if Canadians are aliens or not.......but I DO know that I can't own a Canadian. I wonder if some aliens make better pets than other aliens. Now that I think of it, I'm a potential alien--it just depends on where I am and where I go. For instance, if I went to Tibet or Mars, I'd be an alien. I wonder why the aliens from other countries don't speak English, while the aliens in Star Trek always speak perfect English.

So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.

Why haven't we heard from them?

Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.

Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.

Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.

Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.

Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.

It is really impossible to know for sure.

The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

There have to be aliens or some other more intelligent life form out there. If you consider your human mind, how could we have created some of the inventions we use today alone? Even this computer, for instance, to function someone had to figure out the basic electrical principles of the materials, make the devices, make something to make them, and see the invisible chain of events that put together make it all work.
I think aliens mated with monkeys and some of the technology is made because they are able to contact some of those in line of the original decendents.

Yes I believe aliens exist.
There is no proof but logic says life like ours proliferates throughout the universe.
We are the eyes and ears of the universe,it would not be much use of just us in this small place.

Well Sure. I believe that there is other intelligent life in the Universe. Perhaps we can even go there once we graduate from "earth school."
