In a heartbeat. Several years ago around Christmas I was in a store and a little boy around two years old ran out of the store and into the street. Without looking I darted after him and caught him.Thank the Good Lord a car didn't hit us. When I took him back into the store his mother didn't even realize he was gone. My daughter was so proud of me. I hope I would always do the same for anyone child or adult. These things get you to Heaven.

Only if I'd get to have another life. I wouldn't want to give up my life. I wouldn't want to give up the child's either. If it were a situation where both of us could get away or I was granted a rain check to have time to think about my decision, I'd want to be in that situation. Otherwise I don't have any opinions on this question. Thank you for your time.

Great Question!! I would have to say no because I am a parent to 3 children myself. Now I would gladly give my life for them OR I would donate my organs to a child (if I could choose)

WOW that is a tough one! If I didn't have children of my own I would say yes in a heartbeat! But I couldn't leave my kids. If it was like give a kidney or part of my liver, bone marrow or something like that but it wouldn't kill me I would say yes. But I dont think I could knowingly die to save someone else. Maybe that is selfish?!

I'm single, I lead a very boring life, and I'm in severe debt. So sure, I'd give up my boring life to give a child a chance to have a superior life. My death would have to be quick and painless because I'm also a sissy when it comes to pain.

why is it seemingly presumed that forfeiting your own life to save that of a child's is some benevolent act. it may be, but what if the child turned out to be hitler or manson? is that worth the sacrifice? that act of kindness could spell doom for others.
