"My Country Tis Of Thee". I must share this with you because it's on the same topic. Years ago, I went to a high school football game. Everybody stood, we were singing "The Star Spangled Banner". I heard the most beautiful tenor voice, loud and strong, I've ever heard just a few rows up in the stands. I didn't know the teacher at the time, but I met him later. If I could sing like that, I'd record something!

God Bless America sang by the opera guy that sings during the Yankees playoff games. Everytime I hear that guy, I feel so darn good and patriotic.

America - Neil Diamond. Not sure if he wrote it, but it is a beautiful tribute to the country that welcomed jews and gave them opportunity to suceed. The song can apply to other immigrant groups as well.

"This Land is My Land" by Woody Guthrie
Although usually this is misused as some kind of kid's song, and all the good verses are cut out.
