You had a c-section for a reason which probably won't happen again -- malposition. And that is very favorable for you. Each baby, each labor is different. A different baby in a different position will be a new situation.
First of all, call around and make sure you find a practitioner who is open to the IDEA of VBACs. Some don't want to do it at all. Others are willing to consider each case, and give you a trial of labor. Consider a practice that includes midwives.
Don't let people scare you. Remember -- it's not that a VBAC is risky and a c-section is safe. There are risks with either one. For every scary VBAC story, there is an equally scary surgical story.
I had a c-section for breech, and 3 VBACs -- each one more lovely than the last.
Good luck!

My daughter is 11 and was a c-section. All my others were VBAC...even my twins! One twin was sunny side up too and the other was breech. If I can do VBAC then your chances are good I would think. No guarentees just like anything else, but very possible. Good luck!

Induction and exertions improving drugs are what reason maximum uterine ruptures. you could in simple terms be allowed to pass into exertions on your own till your scientific expert is an fool. i could choose for a VBAC if it incredibly is finding good for one. The restoration is a lot greater effectual for the two mom and toddler (c-area toddlers are greater apt to have lung issues). Many diabetics have toddlers without c-sections, so as that on my own isn't a determiner. you could shop your blood sugar strictly controlled. it unquestionably relies upon on the forms of issues which you have. i'm at the instant TTC and inspite of the actual shown fact that it looked like a repeat could be my in basic terms decision, my scientific expert reported that inspite of the actual shown fact that i'm extreme possibility, if i do no longer strengthen specific issues, i will genuinely attempt a VBAC. i'm exceptionally excited approximately this with the aid of fact with a vertical scar, maximum docs are against it completely.

Hi, I was worried about having a c section too, but it's my first child..my husband and I both have big heads and I was sooooo scared, and considering noone in my whole family has ever had a vaginal birth, I was bound to have a c section..anyways, my doctor told me not to worry because the vagina is elastic..and they can cut you..and I finally had my baby vaginally on 11/8/06 and he had a big head, but my ob cut me 3 times..I didn't feel a thing..it was an emergency tho...his heartbeat dropped to 40 and I pushed 3 times and he came out..I didn't even feel it..it felt like I had to poop, and there was pressure when he got right there but it felt so much better after she cut me.. I didn't have a painful recovery at all..hell I didn't even have an epidural :) but every single birth is different, and every ob tries their hardest to make you have a vaginal delivery..Hope this helped :)

You have a great chance. It is probably unlikely that this baby will be positioned the same.
It is medical problems that the c-section happened that lower your chances of a successful vbac. You can also consider a homebirth. They tend to be more sucessful vbacs imo.

i had an emergency c-section with my son & had a natural birth with my daughter. when i found out i was having my daughter i asked what my options were so i could be prepared that i may have to have another c-section. my doctor sent me for a second ultra sound closer to the due date to find out what the baby's weight was. my daughter was a lot smaller then my son was. if you do have another baby there is a group that call them selves vbac which means they talk to you about your choices about having a natural birth after having a c-section. although they were ment to talk to me but they did'nt

Your chances are really good. It will depend on how well you healed from your c-section and what your scaring is like.
Chances are you Dr will let you labor and just keep watch on your progress. Be sure to have your birth plan written out so that your dr, hospitol staff, and family no exactly what your wishes are.
Really no need to worry about it till the time comes. Enjoy the little one you have, they stay little for such a short time.

Pretty good chances. I had c-section with my first because she was breech and had my 2nd vaginally. Even if your next has a big head I don't think there will be a big problem it's made to strech. But ask your obgyn based on your son's head size what she thinks.

well it all depends on if your next baby is positioned right. I'd say you have a 50 50 chance.
