Get Saddam Hussein off of the earth. I was for the reason we went to war with Iraq in the beginning: freeing Iraq from tyrany and attempting to secure democracy. Now, I wish they'd "quit playing tiddly winks" and get us out of there. For the first time, several days ago, Bush admitted the US was losing the war. Gee, what happened? Did a lightening brick hit him in the head to cause this great "revelation"? I still like Bush as much as ever. My dad has a saying, "Do you think we should punt, pass, or kick?" (ie: go another direction)? I vote for the saying; bless Bush, you wouldn't be able to tell HIM that until we have so many casualties that people are screaming SOLELY because of THAT.

I have to agree with some people that say that we are stooping to his level by torturing him by hanging, but that is how they kill people in Iraq. If you don't believe in execution at all then you might think that a lethal injection is a mean way to kill someone. It is their custom. Let them kill him how their government says he should be killed. But yes, he definitely deserves to be hung. To bad he isn't at all sorry for what he did. I just wish he would apologize for all the actions in his life. No, it wouldn't really help anything at all if he did, but it would just be nice to know that he was actually sorry for his horrible actions. I am glad our military is over there right now taking care of the Iraqi people. They deserve our help. If we back down now we are just letting the terrorist get what they want. We can't do that. Go USA Military! And thank God that we have a awesome president like Bush that is humble, loving, and cares about our country!

Not only will Saddam execution fire up the Sunni (former Baathist followers of Saddam) insurgents it will make Saddam a martyr and make the civil war in Iraq even worse.
I'm glad to see Saddam get hanged but it could mean an even worse insurgency in Iraq.

It's a crude way to be executed. Sounds like something from a medevial story. "Oh lets all gather at the town square at watch the twon nut be killed!" Some people say that he deserves it. Revenge will never get what you want. Justice will never be acheived totally. With him dead, all the tens of thousands of people he killed will not magically rise out of the grave. The families will still be without them.
If what he did was barbarish (he killed thousands of people with poisonous gas, etc.), then aren't we stooping to his level? He committed war crimes. And although it is deemed "okay" to hang a war criminal, we are committing what he has done. But it is all okay because the justice system gives permission. But I am against it.

The death penalty does not bother me one way or the other.
But to give this man his martyrdom is sheer stupidity. He should be placed in a cell for life , forced to eat pork and watch porno with his hands glued to his ears. public beatings on a regular basis. chili pepper enemas daily. above his cell should be placed a urinal for all the family members he allowed to live after the rape death and or torture of all his victims. and any thing else that could be done. yet done where he would survive.

I suppose after the US hangs him and the Sunnis retaliate by targeting American troops, people will say it was worth it.
See how out of control Bush has let this get? This guy is the worst leader of ALL time.

High enough for his mates to get the idea this is what to expect if they don't take the peaceful road anything that will bring peace to the region but I have my doubts this will do it.

I have no idea if he is hung, nor do I care. As for being hanged, my only complaint is that he will not suffer nearly as much as he deserves to.
