I had all 4 of mine removed six years ago. I had planned on getting a milkshake when it was over but I was so drugged up that I didn't even know what was going on. My mom drove to a drive thru and I bitched about the line being too long and made her go somewhere else (they later told me that there was no line at all and I just didn't know it. Then when we got home she made me take the gauze out. Don't do that cause all the blood runs down your throat and it made me sick. I never even drank the stupid milkshake.

I have had mine cut out. I was given Tylenol 3 for pain. Took some when I got home. I didn't think it was working fast enough so I took 2 more 20 minutes after the first 2. About that time the first 2 kicked in and I started to itch..bad...real bad. That is how I found out I was allergic to Codeine.

Not really an interesting story, but I had mine out a long time ago. I was "knocked out" & when I woke up I was crying! I wasn't in pain & couldn't figure it out. The dentist said that a lot of women do that...maybe hormonal? Two weeks ago my daughter had hers out & yeppers, she woke up crying too!
Nothing to be nervous about...you'll be numb for a couple of hours & the dentist will give you a prescription for a pain killer. You might be a little puffy & will be a little sore for a couple of days, but it's not that bad.
I ate solid food the same day & went to work the next. You'll be fine. :-D

Yes, mine are out. Don't be scared...it's not as bad as people think. Just make sure you don't eat foods with seeds or small particles like rice for several days afterwards......you don't need that getting stuck in the cavities where your teeth were at. Also, make sure you rinse out your mouth thoroughly after you eat ANYTHING. Best of luck to you.

Yes mine are gone, but you'll be just fine. I'll be praying for you. My daughter was so nervous and it only took 24 minutes to get them all out.

Yes I do. I had two dry sockets and thought I was going to die. Not fun and I am so happy they are gone. Good luck to you.
