Why does my psp only work sometimes, and when its on it will freeze?

Hmm, Are You Trying To Play A Game And Your Memory Stick Isn't Formated?

Try Pressing The 'HOME' Button On The Left Side Of The PSP Facing You And See If It Will Do Anything..

If So, Quit Game..

This Will Happen When Your Memory Stick Isn't Formated, Meaning Your PSP Will Sort Of Freeze And Lock Up Because Without The Use Of The Memory Stick, You Can't Do Anything..

To Format, Visit The 'Settings' Category Of The PSP's Home Menu Bar (the far left) And Select 'System Settings'..
Then, Move Down To The 6th Options (if you have around and under version 2.0 psp, 5th) To 'Format Memory Stick' And Select..

Note That Any Data Already On The Memory Stick Will Be Gone After Formatting..
