Yes I would "eat" them no problem. If it would save my life or life of a loved one I would. Ask this question again when you've lost someone you love very much, and know that there was a medicine or medical procedure that could have saved them and made them well, but the FDA and the moral majority can't get their heads out of their a** and realize that it's the 21st century not the 19th century. I hope you never find out how absolutely horrible it is to have lived that.

An embryo is the first stage of the life of a BABY- I do not agree with it. There are many other ways to get stem cells if people would just take the time to research this. Stem cell research is much more than embryo based.
They can be harvested from placentas (afterbirth), umbilical cords and adult bone marrow.
There are thousands of births everyday and therefore thousands of placentas and umbilical chords.
If all women would insist these be donated for this cause there would be less need for embryos. The healing would come from new birth , not the killing of a life just begun.

No. Most people believe the myth that embryonic stem cells come from abortion clinics. Which they absolutely do not. That is a big myth being spread by the people against it. Stem cells are created in a lab in a similar manner as invetro fertilization. Stem cells are never part of an embryo or fetus that is INSIDE of a woman. If more people would educate themselves to the facts of stem cell research and stop taking the word of some preacher man on TV or some politician just looking for votes they probably would be all for it.
EDIT:
To BigPappa,
I really dont care what you believe. You are just another one of the brainwashed masses who refuse to research the truth for yourself. You take the words of the Bushs and the Falwells because they tell you they talk to God. They dont talk to God....when they pray they are talking to themselves.

Eat stem cells? Good lord, what are they teaching you kids in school, if anything at all?

I would ask those who believe embryonic stem cell research is immoral if they believe fertility treatments invoving IVF are also immoral?

Certainly if good can come from stem cell research, it is not immoral, what is immoral is if these procducts from abortions go to waste .
I would go further and make it legal for organs from the dead to be harvested to help the living.

If someone has a lot of embryos left from IVF and they do not want to donate them to someone else they should be used for research instead of just being destroyed. Some good should come out of it. If they destroy them who does it help?

I dont think its immoral. I am for almost anything that will help in research to help people and save lives. As long as it doesnt hurt anyone in the short or long run of experments.

I think the stem cells are taken from live fetuses, which is probably why they state that it is immoral.

To kill a life to save another. Doesn't make much sense.

And who decides who is to live and who does not?
