I havent spoken to him for 13 years and probably never will again. It was his ex-wife's idea to try to send me to prison rather than inconvience him with points on his drivers licence. Is it ever allright to rat on your own blood to the police in non-violent circumstances?

Well my guess is that this has something to do with drunk driving maybe. If its something that didn't hurt anyone and wouldn't have gotten him locked up then maybe he shouldn't have told on you. But some people just won't take the fall for others for any reason.

Rick, did ya do the crime? Then if so ya do the time. A true brother or friend will not let someone else take the blame for what they did!In the New Testament is astory just like yours ,find it read it,and maybe you will learn a few other things about life while finding this parable

I side with your ex-sister in law on this one. If you did engage in drinking and driving, then you SHOULD HAVE been ratted out. Because one day, you could be drunk and hit a vehicle carrying my family. So you should have been thrown in jail for a while if that's what it is.

A man owns up to his mistakes. He who hides behind others is weak.

It sound like you borrowed his car and got drunk and crashed into something. I dont like or think anyone should rat on anyone, but you also cant expect him to say he did it. If he is your brother, the right thing would be for you to own up to shitting in your own yard, and protect him from having to pay your consequences. If you were my brother i'd kick your *** for even thinking of letting me go down for you. Asshole!

blood is thicker than water!!nothing can change that.if it was you that did the crime it's your fault & your blaming everybody else except yourself & it was his ex-wifes idea,so why are you blaming your BRO for???THE DIRTY WENCH IS GONE!!!so that your BRO has come to his senses & not let his nuts do the thinking for him.because family is forever & you don't want find that out at his funeral & have a heavy heart for the rest of yours !!

ok, so it was going to be him getting stuck with the blame because it would mean getting points on his liscence, you comit the crime and then try to push the blame off on your brother and you are upset at him?

you are lucky your still alive

Wow that sucks. What did you do and how much time are you looking at?

It sounds like it's all your evil sister in law's fault.
