It all just depends on how one percieves life. The universe created that person to be that way. And every thing that happens and that will happen cannot be stopped, but only watched.

My weakness is when I am in-Love with another and they make me soooooo happy. I seem to want to become better to impress them and I want to make more money and improve myself way more when I am in-Love and have a sweetheart.
I call it a weakness because when it is gone it can then cause you to have a total flip flop and be very sad and miserable.
When you are in Love you want to live forever to be with that person and have as much time as you can with them.
When you are heartbroken for whatever reasons, during or if the relationship should dissolve, then you wanna give up and leave the whole situation.
The gift of life in this body should be enough, it itself, to make you more attached to life. Nothing should cause you to want to give up.

Attachment to life is based on anticipation of good things to come, and enjoyment of the present. It also is a deep curiosity about what's going to happen, not wanting to miss the outcome of current actions. I guess you'd call it hope.
Giving up is based on lack of hope for anything good, and fear of a bad future with no way out. For me.

More attached to life--
A disease that hits you early in life.
A sense of panic that you haven't done all that you've wanted.
A realization that you have more to give to others.

To wanna give up--
Being around negative people that make you feel worthless.
Being ignored and demeaned constantly by selfish people.

It's all about MIND over MATTER. Make the choice!

The more connections you are able to make (called "relations" in reference to people and "information" in reference to things) the more attached you will be to your life. It's that simple.

So a kid locked in a closet will make very few connections and hence be a suicide candidate; whereas, the kid who's inquisitiveness leads to new relationships and knowledge will want to hang in there.

Relationships make me more attached to life.

Feeling like everything is out of my hands, feeling despair, embarrassment, and discouraged makes me want to give it all up.
