My 7-month old son also has eczema. We use Gentle Naturals Eczema Cream... you can find it at Target, Giant Food, CVS, etc, in the baby section. It is in a green and pink bottle and works WONDERS! HTH

I have read about exzema and found that it might be an allergy to dairy products. Your doctor will probably not know about this finding, but you might try switching your son to an organic soy based formula. The organic soy formula may be safer then the non organic stuff. If you are breastfeeding try switching to a soy based diet for a couple of weeks and see if this helps your son.
My sister told me that you can give your baby an oatmeal bath and this is suppost to help. I have tried the old fashined oatmeal baths and they make a big mess, but they do sell oatmeal bath stuff at the stores. Aveeno is a name brand one, but I have found a store brand oatmeal bath that is less expensive and does just as well. I have also done a Google search and it does look like they make a organic version of this soap, also. Good luck to you.

The Aveeno line works great. I would recommend Aveeno oatmeal baths. It is in the soap aisle at the stores. Eucerine also works really good. These products lock the moisture in and help prevent the itchy outbreaks. My son has had eczema since he was a baby so I know how you feel.

The best things I have found are Aveeno baby soothing bath treatment which also helps diaper rash and Aveeno baby soothing relief moisture cream. Both have natural colloidal oatmeal and helped my sons Eczema. Just be careful around his eyes with the lotion and I would not suggest splashing the bath treatment on his face.

Is it cold where you are at right now? Excema is exacerbated in cold weather according to my doc. My son outgrew it but in the meantime I made sure I put some balm on his cheeks (can't remember the name but it comes in a stick and is used for preventing windburn for babies). Eucerin is good too. Put it on the areas that are problems. When giving baths try Cetaphil with the blue label. It is very moisturizing and it good for babies and adults alike. Try to only bath every other day in lukewarm water. Make sure to moisturize right after.
If all else fails see if doc can change the script.

Eczema is a common problem among babies to toddlers,it comes and goes.May I suggest Oil of Olay body wash with oatmeal during bath time and after bath lather with Eucerin Intensive care lotion, fragrance free for both. This was just prescribed by my babie's pediatrician last week 'coz I had the same problem with my baby. And it did clear up my baby's skin after 2 days. I also tried all sorts of creams such as cortisones and other antifungal creams yet they only give temporary relief and you can't use them at a long term or it will burn your baby's sensitive skin. You may also consider separating your baby's laundry and using baby laundry detergent.Lastly, have you thought about milk allergy?baby may be allergic to his milk formula, ask your pediatrician. Right after you bathe him... pat him dry with the towel but don't rub dry because you don't want to strip the skin of moisture and as soon as you have patted him dry with a towel apply eucerin cream.

Poor thing.......my best advice to you is to bring him back to the doctor, but maybe this time you should take him to a dermatologist.......hopefully he can stop that permanently. I wish you the best of luck.
