when I play the game it runs perfectly then after awhile it freezes and disappears and a thing comes up saying it isnt working normally and I dont know what to do it does it all the time any suggestions??

Sounds like you might be running out of memory. Try shutting down any programs running in the background (there's step-by-step instructions for that in your Sims 2 manual). Since you said it runs smoothly starting out, that should fix the problem then. That used to happen to me too when I forgot to shut down the programs first... lol Hope this helps. =)

You need to update your video driver. Check your display properties. Depending on your video manufacture you will update at:
www.ati.com
or
www.nvidia.com
