Lime wire isn't the only way, But your main problem is you aren't using iTunes, you can't use Windows Media Player. To get iTunes free, go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ . Then drag and drop the songs into iTunes and plug your iPod in.
If you have cd's, download iTunes, put the cd in, and hit IMPORT CD, which is in the bottem left corner of the screen.
You don't have to use iTunes cards to buy from the store, you can create an account and enter your credit card in. It is perfectly safe because there is a password also.
Hope this helped....:-)!!!

Ok, you can also buy the songs off itunes with a credit card. Itunes is the best choice for quality, and you cant go wrong.
Limewire is free. After downloading a song from there go to itunes, click file at the top left corner, then click "add a file to libary" from there you have to find were you music is saved at. Once you found a song/songs you click the song and click "open". It should have added your song to your libary on itunes. From there you can plug the ipod in, and of course it should add them.

i could bypass with the iPod touch by using fact of elementary touch-show navigation and a effective length show. The show length is suited for enjoying video clips on the bypass. The music sounds tremendous for the duration of the headphones, yet you could in basic terms use the headphones that come out of the container, no different headphones will greater healthful. 8GB won't be that lots, yet once you dont choose for to apply an excellent form of memory, 8GB would be o.k.. in case you go with for to get a greater no longer expensive iPod bypass with the classic, yet i do recommend the touch.

The answers above are all(most) good and Itunes is great ...but...There is also senuti (Itunes spelled backwards) a free download that allows you to download unlicensed tunes to your Ipod.... ie. from one ipod to another, etc
Its your music.

I tried taht but the same thing happened to me. It wouldn't work. Maybe, it's because the iPod is teh 2nd generation. That's prolly why it wont work
