My car has been using up a quart of oil every 1500-1800 miles. I have an extended warranty bumper to bumper. I would think that it is serious enough to be covered in the warranty. Does anyone know if this should be covered in the warranty plan for the Toyota Corolla 2002? (Could you give me some facts and figures on quarts per miles for warranty coverage?)

. It all depends on the type of after market warranty you purchased (read the fine print). Does your car smoke and do you see a visible oil leak? It may be the head gaskets, or the something as simple as the drain plug or oil pan. Take it to a mechanic you trust and if it is an after market warranty and it is covered then the garage should be able to initiate a claim.
Good Luck

Warranty coverages all vary from plan to plan. The only sure fire way to get the true answer to this question is to have the vehicle diagnosed to determine the oil leak issue, and then see if your warranty plan covers it. I can't imagine that it wouldn't. However, some times certain seals and gaskets are not covered.

Many manufacturers provide a warranty that is included with the purchase of the vehicle and offer to sell the buyer an extended auto warranty in addition to the manufacturers base warranty. it will be countless issues - problem is that oil does not stay the position it really is going to. this suggests basically one problem - something interior the engine both cracked (head or block) or something gave way (a seal or gasket, incl head gasket). there is probable no straightforward restore for this. maximum mechanics will recommed eliminating the pinnacle to confirm out what is going on. this may wreck the pinnacle gasket and accordingly will choose change. i recognize you probably did not opt for to hearken to bypass gasket, yet i imagine if you're fortunate, that's going to likely be basically the gasket. Cracks interior the pinnacle or block is severe priced to fix and there's no guarrantee that it received't crack lower back, except you replace the damaged section. the problem would also be as a small seal someplace interior the engine (internally) that failed. in case you motorcar has a engine oil cooler that makes use of the radiator to kick back the engine oil, it will be conceivable that you've a leak there also - this should be failry straightforward to fix if the problem is interior the radiator - basically replace it. basically my 2cents - desire it facilitates.

Talk to the dealer and they can tell you 1) what the problem is and 2) if it is covered by your warranty.

i would consider that as normal wear

if any leaks would be covered by your ESP would need to be determend on a case to case base....
depends on if the part is covered. if you are concerned about too much oil consumption, contact your dealership and they can find out if any parts would be covered.
