Sorry to hear about your problem. The first thing I would do is update your anti-virus software (if you have any) and run a full scan. If you don't, visit http://free.grisift.com and download the free AVG anti-virus suite and run a full scan.

Also, visit http://www.safer-networking.org and download and run Spybot search and Destroy. It will update itself when you run it and then fix any spyware or malware you might have on your system

You first try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html The problem will be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
After running the virus scan delete all temprory internet files including off line content and also unwanted files and temp. files. Finally, carryout a defragmentation . Your system will be back to the normal...!

Hi,
Those are just fake "critical system errors" and a sign of smitfraud infection, and smitfraudfix should get rid of it.
For the other stuff, if you have a hijackthis log, I can help you analyze it if I can see the log.

For fake critical error, please download SmitfraudFix:
http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.php
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.
Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by rebooting the computer,
and repeatedly tapping the F8 key as the pc starts. Choose "Safe Mode" from the options listed.

Once in Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder again and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd

Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry?" answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove
the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to
replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process;
if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.

The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

The popup about " critical system errors" is almost always false, phony and fradulant. The actual trojan that has caused your problem is no doubt one of the hundreds (now in the thousands)of varients of what is commonly called "Zlob".

But your computer is indeed infected. This infection is called Smitfraud and it will give you phony scam virus warnings( and often redirect you to a site selling a bogus anti virus product), trying to sell you junk such as Pest Trap, Virus Burst, Spyware Quake and other non working anti virus apps.

Information and procedures for removal of Smitfraud are here:

Clean out your cookies and files that you don't need. Go to tools>Internet options>clear history, files, cookies and then do a disk defrag found in the start menu>programs>accessories>system tools. BTW I note that you have the protection but are you running the scans? Peace!

Sounds like you might need to clean up your harddrive. You can do that by defragmenting the drive in the control panel.
