need fast answers if possible:
ok, i own a newley bought ps3. and i was just wondering if your supposto stand it upright like they do in most stores? or layit down and put a cool pad (air blowing up on the system, to cool it) underneeth the system?
i got in to trouble by standing it upright and i was wondering myself, why.
please answer. thank you.

you can place it either way you like, aslong as the vent as enuff free space to blow out

Doesn't matter which way you have it standing. I personally like to lay it down because it has more support and therefore harder to accidentally tip it over.

It's designed to be used either way. Just don't move it while its operating.

you can have it either way, mine lays down becuase otherwise there would be no where to put it.

If you lay it down, it catches on fire and burns your house down...
Plugging it in and not shutting it off when you fall asleep also has that effect...
