If you and your sister wear different brands of contact lenses, then you may need different solutions. There are a lot of studies going on right now that compare how different solutions react with different contact lenses.
First, you should rub your contact lenses, even if the bottle says "no rub." But, the companies know that not everyone does that.
Opti-free is very good at killing bacteria - regardless of whether or not you rub your contact lenses. This is my favorite solution.
Complete will make your contact lenses very comfortable. But, to make sure they properly clean your lenses, you have to rub them or squirt them for several seconds on each side (this uses a LOT of solution, so it gets expensive).
Renu is a good solution as well. But, be careful, some people's eyes cannot tolerate the preservative found in Renu Multiplus.
AQuify is also a good solution. You should not swim with contact lenses on. But, if you do, then use AQuify, it will disinfect your lenses in 5 minutes. So, after swimming, clean your lenses fast with AQuify.
Also, it doesn't hurt to just ask your doctor why you're in two different solutions. Maybe he or she has a good reason!

That varies so much depending on slight differnces in lenses and also eye chemistry, etc.
My eyes tend to itch with some types.
Here's my rank on them
Aquify #1, by far. Or I'd give it a 9.5 on a 10 scale
Complete moisture Plus a good # 2 or 7-8 on a 10
Opti Free and other Alcon a distant #3 and only if I couldn't find the other 2. A 3 out of 10
Bausch and Lomb, I'll use kerosene instead!!!
(just kidding, but I don't like it at all) 1 out of 10,.
For comfort and not itching or clouding, etc I think aquify is tops!!
Those are just my personal prefs and based on trying them all.

Peroxide solution is for use with Gas Permeable (hard) contact lenses. I would throw out the lenses, wear glasses for the next few days at least and if it still feels irritated on Monday, go see an optician and get it checked out. Try not to rub/ rinse the eye too much as u will irritate it more, the eyes are very sensitive things!

recently complete was pulled from the market for bacterial infections. So I would recommend using optifree. It works well and hasn't ever been pulled from the market. Please do not get the generic stuff, the solution in the bottles change on a monthly basis.
