The first was between March 4, 1861 and January 18, 1862, when Martin Van Buren, John Tyler, Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, and Abraham Lincoln were all living. The second was between January 20, 1993 and April 22, 1994, when Richard M. Nixon, Gerald R. Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton were all living. The third was between January 20, 2001 and June 4, 2004 when Gerald R. Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush were all living.

An interesting question which others have already answered. But here is some interesting presidential trivia. Our 15th president, James Buchanan's life spanned at least 1 year of our first 29 presidents. He was born in 1791 and died in 1868.
