what can a person do if they do not wish to go into university?

i know the pay is much higher but im sure there are jobs that are comfortable that dont need a degree or some sort

Uni does not mean you will get a great job, these days most grads end up on the dole fighting to pay back their loans. Find something that suits you, be it uni or a job but look to all areas.

I never had the advantage of "higher learning". I figured out what I could start as a business, with little or no money, The first of my businesses was started on less than 10 dollars. It takes lots of hard work.Yet I have had 11 companies,some made a lot of money , others not so much. I am where I want to be and I am happy. Isn't that the goal?

You can do some factory/manuel labor in Boeing plants, construction, and a bunch of on-the-job training (hospitals, banking, technician jobs etc). You can even start selling stuff on Ebay. I hear a bartender makes quite a bit too. Join the Army, etc and you can earn a lot of benefits and a decent salary. There's lots of options, but you just gotta look! And yes, you can make a lot of money without a degree...you just gotta know what you're doing!

Get fired up about something and do it. Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard after one semester. School is just a warehouse for surplus labor and the troglodytes in Human Resources are demanding degrees only to cover their asses if an employee does not work out. "Gee, they looked good on paper and had a Masters Degree."

i graduated this summer. i am having difficulty finding a job, after even finding 1, its still hard getting in.

however, getting a degree, does help and will help if u do the rite degree. capture ur dream.
