Chances are, no. Unless you can claim disability. I'm not in Texas but in the 2 states I have had babies in, there were no benefits. You gotta use your vacation and sick leave and then go w/out pay. Too bad we don't live in Canada! They get something like a year of maternity leave...PAID!!

I also live in Texas, so, I understand what you're saying. We're both screwed, hun.

Look into WIC, and possibly food stamps if it's that bad for you financially. Offer to watch someone else's kids for a week, or something, for extra money. That's what I am going to do.

WIC may be a possibility for you, based on income and some other requirements for the program.
