February. People often forget that two marathons take place at the Walt Disney World Resort in January - the Team in Training Luekemia Marathon and the Walt Disney World Marathon. You'll find that most Disney Resorts will be completely booked solid through the month of January.
February is much better and there are hardly any crowds. Be sure to avoid weekends!

January. It's one of the quietest times at Disney as the kids are back in school and can't easily take vacation yet. The locals think it's too cold to be out in the parks. Lines are really short and hotels have good deals. February before President's Day is also viable.

January 3rd thru February 13th is one of the slowest times of the year for Disney. A great time to go, and the resort prices on property are at their lowest. Combine that with cool weather (anyone who comes in the summer is crazy), and you've got the best of everything.

I've also heard that Super Bowl weekend is the best time to be in Disney, I hope so, because my family and I will be there during the next Super Bowl. There's little difference, weather wise, between the two, according to http://www.orlando-weather.us

I've been going to Disney several times a year my entire life, and I have to say late Jan to early Feb. That time period is my favorite time to go, aside from October, which is by far the best time to visit the parks.

For the time of year you are asking about - your best bet is the weekend of Superbowl Sunday. It's one of the 2 quietest days of the year in Disneyland (according to staff I've spoken with).
Both are fairly quiet, with weekdays being the best after school goes back in (1/8).
