My office has keyed door locks on each door, but no keys. These are indoor offices, and "ultra" security is not needed.

Can these locks be re-keyed without an original key?

How much does it cost if this is possible, say at a Home depot or Lowes?

I want all the locks to have the same key, so that one key can open all the doors.

Thanks for the advice.

Well, You didnt say how many doors you want to use the same key on....

I know you can get matching pairs of locks, where the same key will open locks on 2 doors.... you can find these at most hardware, or home supply stores. Just look for the matching numbers on the locksets.

If you have several locksets tho... I would suggest that you call a locksmith. A locksmith can quickly re-key all of your door locks, and create a master key which will open all of them.

All locks can be re keyed to match one key even if you dont have the original key. I'm not sure if Home Depo or Lowes can do it with out the orignal key. you would have to call first. but I do know for a fact that a lock smith can. it will cost a little more, not sure how much

look at the packaging number of the lock usually on the right upper section of the front of the package this is the lock number. same number same key. the originals can be re keyed with or without original key. or the pins can be removed for no key at all.

Bucktooth was right. The local lumber or hardware store can rekey the locks. You can easily change then lockset to a regular knob without a keyset inside too.

If you can get to each side of the door you can replace the locks with what ever one you buy.
