Don't send any of their family members( I especially mean their children) to war if they think they are in war for just causes and it's such an honor to do for your country. And Im not only talking about the current president.

first of all , politicians are professional liars and lawyers so they are experts in avoiding real answers. politicians are filthy stinking rich and most have never had a real job in their lives, the kids are the same . too busy living the high life. what bothers me about war is the people that start them are the first to avoid actually being involved. if a big war broke out they would be hiding in their underground fully equipped bunkers while everyone else is being killed. bunch of scumbags with nothing better to do in life than seek power because they don't have to work for a living . but I'm glad u brought it up, because its true, they start the war but don't go to it or their family, that's for the little people

Exposing Liberals or Answerer #1 is so wrong. My daughter served a tour in Iraq as a security forces member of the Air Force working along side an Army Force since the Army is stretched so thin. She saw combat and has the medals to prove it.

Good luck getting a straight answer from the horse's mouth. A reporter asked President Bush the same question in an interview for People magazine, and he gave her a very evasive answer, going into how his daughters are doing great things with kids, the arts, etc. That's great and all, but perhaps he should answer the question he was asked.

Okay, let's review.

Adult offspring of politicians have the same choice as you and I about military service. They can't be "sent" at Mommy or Daddy's will, just like you and I can't be.

Can you imagine your Dad calling (or knocking on your bedroom door) to tell you "I've talked about it with your Mom and we're sending you to Iraq. We believe in this war."

You'd tell him to bite you, most likely.

The correct questions are "If this war is so vital to American interests, why aren't the children of most politicians overcome with patriotism and rushing to enlist? How can we po' folks be expected to think it's important if these officeholders can't inspire their own kids to go?"

****Because their children have the right to make decisions for themselves.**** A politician "sending" his children to war implies direct control over another individual, inherently contrary to individualism, a necessity for any form of democracy. Since when do politicians have absolute power over any individual, regardless of affiliation?

"what bothers me about war is the people that start them are the first to avoid actually being involved."

First of all, wars are caused by a sequence of events involving many people, making it practically impossible to directly trace and one person to a war. This fact alone makes it impossible to determine who should in fact "send their children." People are individuals, you are much too general with your ignaorance.

"first of all , politicians are professional liars and lawyers so they are experts in avoiding real answers. politicians are filthy stinking rich and most have never had a real job in their lives"

Where do I go to apply for this professional liar's position. I wasn't aware anybody was paid to lie. Last time I checked, America is a republic, implying elections. I beseech you, if people elect a stupid offical, wouldn't that imply stupid people elected him. We put people in office, no one esle, blame yourself for putting an incapable official in office.

thats a good question!..i think it is because they dont want to loose there kids but at the same time they want other peoples kids loves to be endangered.that is also the reason they do not want to have a draft pick because there would be a possibliitly that there kids would have to surve in the army jsut like all the regular people wid love♥ME♥

Michael Moore tested this theory out in Fahrenheit 911.

Because they want you to send your sons and daughters to get killed.
They don't care about the epsiloms and pawns
