I have Norton Internet Security 2007.
The type of "surfing" that I do...I have never had a problem.

Probably just update what you got. The last time this happened to me, the software threw up an offer in my face of getting Norton Internet Security 2007 as well (I had 2005). I accepted and now my computer runs considerably slower at times. Avoid upgrading when you can because every upgrade carries with it the chance that you will lose something.

Ditch norton like a bad egg sandwich. Its a resource hog that doesn't cut the mustard when the going gets tough. AVG and some common sense downloading will see you through just fine.
