Yes. It's all in the genes. If you and your partner have any immediate family members who have blue eyes, you've got the genes. When baby comes along, it's all up to chance which genes, and which traits, your child will have.

Yup, it's possible. Most likely the baby's eyes will change. I was born with blue eyes and now I have brown so go figure but anyway the both of you must have someone or several people in your families that have blue eyes so therefore the both of you carry the recessive gene of blue eyes.

First off they may still change but after 6 mo. they will probably stay. If you and your partner both carry a recessive blue eye gene then yes it is very possible. My father has brown eyes my mom blue me and my brother have green eyes, just because your eye color isn't a certain color doesn't mean the baby won't have that color.

My husband has brown eyes- mine are green... I noticed my son's eyes had completely changed to brown eyes by 6 months.... however, give it some time, and see. Now, it is definitely possible for your baby to end up with blue eyes.... my parents both have green eyes, and my two younger brothers have blue eyes. Look at other family members eyes- there are brown and green and blue eyes in my family- a big combination, so anything is possible! :)

Yes! A babies eyes dont change from anywhere from 3 months to 18 months in some cases. And if there is a direct family member with blue eyes, then your child might just keep them. My son has blue eyes, and I have dark eyes. His eyes are like my grandmothers were. When he was born, his eyes were a deep dark blue, and I thought for sure they would be like mine, but as he hit about 12 months they started to lighten. And now at 4 1/2 he has pastel blue/ white eyes, that are AMAZING!

most definatley

there is still a recessive trait hiding in you and your husband's eye [you got that from both parents on both sides] this is called the HYBRID gene
the blue eye trait is hiden by the overpowering dominant trait of the brown eye
there are 4 possible out comes when you have a baby
you could have had a pure breed brown{all brown}
a hybrid {what you both have}
or a purebreed blue{your baby}

you got a blue eyed baby

When a baby is first born, the eye still has not fully developed a dark pigment known as melanin that helps “color” eyes and skin. Blue or gray eyes (which many Caucasian babies have at birth) in a newborn mean that melanin is virtually absent within the eye’s colored portion (iris).

When your baby is about six months old, you’ll have a better idea of eye color as pigmentation begins to form and brown or darker eyes might appear. The baby’s eye color should be determined by about age one, although some individuals may experience eye color changes through adulthood.

People of Asian, African-American, Hispanic, or native American descent often have babies who are brown-eyed at birth because of darker pigmentation (melanin).

Yes. My Dad has blue eyes... both of his parents have blue and his brother has brown. My Dad is also the only one in the family with blond hair. But my Grandma's Dad had blue eyes and blond hair... everyone else, brown/brown. If someone in your family (usually both sides of the family) have blue eyes then your baby can too.

Of course!

When we were expecting I told my husband to not be shocked if our baby comes out with blonde hair and blue eyes - we both have dark brown hair and brown eyes because my mom had blonde hair, blue eyes and his mom also has blue eyes. Our son however is dark like us!

My husband has blue and i have green. His father however has brown eyes so it is genetically for a child of ours to have brown eyes because they are a dominant trait. This could be your answer or you babys eyes could change color the older it gets.
