they say you have to feel for threads to check that there stil there but surly they sould not be stabing my partner!

Your partner may be able to feel the Mirena during intercourse, but if it's actually stabbing him, you need to go back to your doc and get them to adjust the fit and the position of the "string". Although come to think of it, stabbing your partner in the penis during sex is probably a pretty effective form of birth control:)

Just kidding. Call up your doctor and tell them what's going on. The adjustment is not such a big deal as the insertion.

The what? I'm pretty sure anything that feels like it's stabbing someone is not right. But then again I don't know what the hell a marina coil is.

yes it is possible for your partner to feel a stabbing sensation. The penis is sensitive and those threads can feel rough and sharp. you might need to try different positions and add some lubrication.

I had the same problem - my doctor said it was normal whilst my body is getting used to it - I don't get them anymore but I did for the first month or so. If you do a google search you will find forums where loads of women share their experiences.

ok i must be WAY out of the loop here....what..please tell...is a marina coil and exactly where is it 'fitted'?! sounds like plumbing to me...
